"I gifted this to a friend who just had her second baby as I like to also give a little something to the older child to make them feel included, too. He absolutely ADORES his tub sub! my friend says her oldest no longer fights her getting into the bath, but getting out! She also relayed that it is of good size and quality. Her only issue is that the battery is non-replaceable and lasts only 40 hours; we get that it is for safety, but it significantly limits playtime, so no pool use. My friend wonders if it will last long enough for her youngest to enjoy it when she gets older. It would be great if there was some sort of program in which it could be sent back to the company for replacement. Also, the light turn on when water is sensed, so make sure it is completely dry to conserve the battery further. That being said, Genuine Fred strikes again - thank you all so much for another overall great giftable product!!"
Non-replaceable battery is annoying
"If you have a child, you will know that emptying all the bath toys each time is unlikely to happen. The problem with this is that it naturally pools water at the sensor that turns on the light. Thus if you don’t spot that it’s still sitting there, it rapidly chews through the battery. In short, the kind of thing you receive as a gift (as we did) but never buy yourself."
