Freaking Adorable But....

"I received this in the mail as a surprise from my friend to cheer me up after my Grandfather's passing and it absolutely made my day. It is so adorable and just puts a smile on my face when I see it floating in my cup. With that said though the idea is great but the execution is lacking. After the first two cups it stopped working and the bottom would not stay on even when empty. I was going to request a new one but I'm not sure that would help. I decided to take a screwdriver and just pushed on the the little indents that's supposed to stick in the catch (the pictures unfortunately don't show how it works but there's three indents in the metal and when you twist it they are supposed to catch in this little hole in the plastic part). That seems to work for now but I have to redo it every so often. I would also like to note that as an avid tea drinker this infuser is EXTREMELY small. It only fits about 1/2tsp of a medium leaf tea when dry and that's the max and then there's no room for it to expand. I ripped open a Tazo Vanilla Carmel Chai tea bag and when it's dry it's just under 1/2tsp but when it expands it's almost 1.5tsps which is too much for this infuser. Most teas require at least 1tsp (but usually 2tsp) for 8-10oz cup and that's the minimum. Unfortunately because of the size you really can't use it for many herbal teas that have large pieces and that's a bummer. I would love to see a bigger size with an actual screw on bottom and then I would recommend the product."

Flamingo Bust trying the Koala

"I bought this in hopes it would last due to the reviews. After using it on the loose teas I bought from Billy Corgan's Madame ZuZus Tea shop the silver piece continues to open and not keep the loose tea inside. I don't know why so we pick up and start over again with a different tea steeper if Koala starts the same as flamingo I will be writing a review for a refund. Times of inflation and my patience will be short by losing money again!"

"This unicorn is really adorable and likely works just fine in a child's tea cup. It is easy to use and easy to clean. If you're looking to make a decent cup of tea, though, is doesn't have the capacity for more than a teaspoon of plain tea leaves. Don't even try to use it with chai or any tea with "extras"."

Great infuser

"The flamingo tea infuser is cute, brightly colored, and very functional. The first time I used it, figuring out how to open it was a bit tricky (There are small metal nubs that rotate into place, and I found it difficult to rotate that first time, but has been fine in later uses). When open, it is easy to fill and to clean. The stainless steel has smaller holes than the silicone infusers, making it a better choice if your loose tea has smaller particles."
