"I purchased one of these 6 years ago, when my grandson was 2. It then became the favorite of his little cousin, now 5. The kids LOVE the little treasure box at the end where we hide a special treat -- no peeking till they've eaten everything on the "trail. " I think they'll have fond memories of Grandma's pirate plate. My two little nephews are now about 2 years old and I've purchased them each one for Christmas. It's a fun and useful alternative to more toys. I wish the plates were oriented so the "trail" starts in front of them, but that's my only complaint. They hold up very well in the dishwasher. I tape the treasure lid to the plate so it won't get lost."
